Summer Reading Programs
Every year between June and September, you can take part in one of our summer reading programs! We’ve got ’em for adults, teens and children.
It’s not summer? Come on down to the library and grab a good book and a cup of hot cocoa. There may be no fall or winter program, but you can still enjoy reading.
2016 Summer Adult Reading Program
The Summer Reading Challenge is a fun way to stretch your reading habits by selecting books from different genres. The program begins on June 27th and runs through August 27nd.
Adults 18 and older with a current C/WMARS library card can visit the library to register at the circulation desk. The goal is to read one title from each of the 10 genres listed on the challenge. For each book read, participants will receive one raffle ticket to enter in the raffle of their choice. Books read in any format qualify, and participants may complete one or all ten challenges. After completing a challenge, raffle tickets may be picked up at the circulation desk. It’s fun and the prizes are great. Visit the library to sign up and view the prize display. Happy Reading!
2016 Summer Teen Reading Program
You can read what you want, and keep track of your reading with your online profile. You’ll create your profile when you register.
When you’ve read a certain number of books, you will win a prize!
