The Trustees of the Clapp Memorial Library hold an Annual Appeal each year to raise funds to address essential building maintenance and repairs, and to maintain the functional integrity of the building. We are truly appreciative for the financial support we receive from the Town and the Friends of the Library for programs and services. However, it is with your support that the Trustees are able to continue maintaining our beautiful historic building. Read our 2023 Annual Appeal letter in full.

The Library serves Belchertown and the surrounding area, offering connection, community, programs, and services for all ages. We strive to be a welcoming, accessible, and useful space for everyone in our community.

Your generosity has allowed us to make many improvements to the building including replacing our handicap accessible door and creating seating and play space in the children’s area. Future projects include installing an automatic door opener on our inner door to make the entranceway more accessible, working on make the side entrance safer for everyone, and creating a story garden behind the library.
