The Friends of Clapp Memorial Library is a non-profit organization. Donations and memberships are tax-deductible.  Clapp Library Friends host activities and events for the Library that help to foster community involvement and cultural awareness, support the enjoyment of the Library and its resources, and conduct fund-raisers to help the Library with funding over and above the Library budget.

 

 

Friends' memberships and donations are used to support library programs and purchase books, magazines, computer software, music CDs, DVDs, furnishings, and equipment.

The Library's multimedia projector and large screen were purchased for the library by the Friends.

Many of the Library's computers were purchased by the Friends.

The Summer Reading Program as well as the Teen/Adult Reading Challenge are fully financed by the Friends.

The Friend have two book sales per year:  the Spring Book Sale and the Fall Book & Bake & Make-and-Take Scarecrows Sale.  Friends members run and fully staff the book sales.
